LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A quiet start to your Monday could soon change this week ahead of as a new system moves toward the Las Vegas valley.
Monday morning had some nice sunshine with cool temperatures. Later the the day, expect to see increasing cloud cover and breezy winds ahead of the next system.
This storm will keep temperatures unusually cool through mid-week. Winds will be breezy, picking up in the afternoon. Wind speeds can range between 15-25 mph Monday afternoon with gusts up to 30 mph possible.
While Las Vegas currently has no wind alerts, we will keep an eye out to see if this changes.
A wind advisory did go into effect at 11 a.m. Monday for Nye, Esmeralda and Lincoln counties. This is where the strongest winds will be, up to 20-30 mph consistently and gusts up to 45 mph are po
