Police have issued warning after a dangerous craze of youngsters climbing on and jumping on roofs of buildings in Midlands town centres.

The youths have been spotted atop buildings in Nuneaton and in and around Stratford-upon-Avon town centres in recent weeks.

The incidents appear to be akin to parkour, where people jump from building to building, but have serious risks.

The incidents across Warwickshire have promoted the county’s police force to issue a warning.

A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said: “Unfortunately in recent weeks, we have received a number of reports of young people climbing and jumping on the roofs of buildings.
