WENTZVILLE, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A fatal crash has closed a portion of westbound Interstate 70 in Wentzville.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that the crash between a tractor-trailer and a car happened after 11:30 a.m. on Monday at Wentzville Parkway. One person died at the scene.

While investigators are on the scene, traffic is being diverted at Highway Z. It is unknown when the interstate will reopen.
