A woman upset at a customer taking too long in the line at a Marshalls in Hudson County allegedly bought kitchen knives from the store and used one to stab the shopper, authorities said.
The victim was stabbed multiple times in front of her family at the Kearny store, according to police.
The incident started around 6:15 p.m. Saturday when Amber I. Thompson, 25, of Newark, got into an argument with another customer over “the speed of the checkout line” at the store on Passaic Avenue, police said in a statement.
As the victim and her family left the store and headed toward their car, Thompson allegedly purchased a set of kitchen knives, police said.
Thompson ”removed one from the box, then pursued the victim in the parking lot, ultimately stabbing her multiple times,” police said.
