ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Fulton County police are giving an update Monday on a Union City woman who died after an animal attack in August.
Donna Nguyen died on Aug. 14 after a severe dog mauling, which happened on Aug. 1, according to the Fulton County Police Department.
The incident report states Nguyen died from sepsis, which was caused by “significant wounds she received during the animal attack.”
Videos from Nguyen’s family and David Scott Evans, the owner of five dogs listed in the incident report, show Fulton County Animal Services seizing them at a home near where the attack happened.
Officials said they have euthanized four of the dogs, and a fifth dog is in custody at the animal shelter; however, the incident report states Evans’ dogs are not believed to be involved
