TOWNSHIP OF FOREST, Wis. (WBAY) - A driver who was injured in a crash wasn’t wearing her seatbelt, Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office said Monday. Alcohol was also considered a factor in the crash.
The crash was reported around noon on Monday, on Seven Hills Road, between Golf Course Road and Cody Road, in the Township of Forest.
The sheriff’s office said a vehicle traveling southbound on Seven Hills Road, just south of Cody Road, left the roadway and entered the east ditch. The vehicle hit a utility pole and overturned, coming to rest on the passenger side. The driver was trapped inside.
The Mt. Calvary Fire Department responded to the scene and used the “jaws of life,” hydraulic rescue tools, to rescue the driver. The driver was first treated at the scene in an ambulance and then was
