ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Shots were fired during an assault outside an Abilene Saturday night.

The incident happened outside a bar on the 3100 block of S 27th Street around 11:30 p.m.

Police say there was an assault outside the location, during which a firearm was discharged, but no one was struck.

Witnesses told KTAB and KRBC they were at the bar when someone came in and said, "there's a shooter outside."

Employees then escorted everyone into a small, back room to wait. One of the witnesses went outside and saw one man lying on the ground while officers were pointing a gun at the other man.

No injuries were reported in connection to this shooting, and no further information is available at this time.
