CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A New Jersey man is facing multiple charges after police say he pointed a loaded BB gun at another driver during a road rage incident Sunday on Interstate 80 in Centre County.

According to the criminal complaint, Juan M. Melendez, 56, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, was arrested on Oct. 12 after troopers with Pennsylvania State Police at Rockview were dispatched around 6:17 p.m. for a reported traffic violation and road rage incident near mile marker 153 in Boggs Township.

Trooper Matthew Barnyak wrote in the affidavit that the victim told police Melendez had passed his vehicle on I-80 eastbound and pointed a handgun through his window. Troopers later located Melendez driving a gray 2024 Buick Encore GX with Massachusetts registration near mile marker 170. A traffic
