EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- Enhanced premium tax credits are a mouthful, but they help millions of Americans afford health insurance through the Health Insurance Markplace set up by the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare.

It is also one of the key areas of dispute between Republicans and Democrates in the ongoing government shutdown that began Sept. 30.

John Hawkins, president and chief executive officer of the Texas Hospital Association, will join KTSM primetime anchor Andy Morgan at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13 to discuss these issues.

Hawkins will talk about the imporance of Congress taking action this year before these tax credits expire.
