ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

A crash that happened around 3 a.m., Sunday, critically injured the driver of one car and resulted in the arrest of the other driver, an Albuquerque Police Department news release said.

According to police, Seth Mitchell, 29, was driving a white Ford work van south on Coors Bypass at a high speed when he went through a red light at an intersection.

The van hit a white Honda driven by Luther Martin, going west on Ellison Drive NW and flipped the Honda over several times. Martin was taken to the hospital in critical condition, the release said.

Mitchell, who has a previous conviction for driving while intoxicated, was arrested and booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center, charged with DWI causing great bodily harm.
