DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) -- Representatives for St. Teresa High School in Decatur have been working to prevent a clinic -- which would provide mental health and substance use help -- from moving in next door since the beginning of this year. Recently, St. Teresa brought the issue to a second front: the Decatur City Council.
Jerry Stocks, a representative for St. Teresa, said he is opposing the plan of Heritage Behavioral Health Center through both litigation and through the political process. Last week, Stocks spoke up during the city council meeting; he's asking Decatur to change its zoning ordinances to prevent Heritage from moving in.
