HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas — Harker Heights firefighters rescued a woman from a burning house this weekend, according to the City of Harker Heights.
According to the City, the Harker Heights Fire Department was called to a reported house fire along West Bob White Lane around 12:27 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11. Initial dispatch reports indicated that someone might still be inside the home.
When fire crews arrived, "heavy smoke and flames" were coming from the roof of the home, the City said.
Firefighters immediately began search and rescue operations, according to the City, finding a woman unconscious inside the home. Firefighters reportedly got the woman out of the home and performed CPR until she was taken by ambulance to a hospital for further treatment.
