AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a ground delay for flights that arrive at Austin Bergstrom International Airport until 9 p.m. Monday, according to AUS.

According to the FAA website, the reason is staffing.

Furthermore, the FAA said that ground delays would average around 40 minutes, with a maximum delay of 94 minutes expected.

"Keep an eye on your flight status and connect directly with airlines for more info," AUS said on social media Monday.

In May, the FAA cited that continued staffing issues caused delays at AUS. U.S. Congressman Lloyd Doggett, who represents part of Austin, advocated for more to be done to address staffing problems.
