WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) -After more than two decades of public service, State Representative Ken Upchurch announced Monday that he is retiring.
The retirement will start when his current term ends on Dec. 1, 2026.
Upchurch serves Kentucky’s 52nd District, which is made up of McCreary, Wayne and parts of Pulaski County.
He first served in the house from 1999 to 2010 and returned in 2013.
During that time, he played a central role in transportation budgeting and infrastructure planning.
