SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Four election officials worked close to two hours to match a hand count of the ballots to make sure they match the outcome from the machine-counted votes.
The Woodbury County Auditor explained how the ballots are secured from the polling location to the Auditor's office.
"On election night, those precinct election chairs bring that into our office. So, those are brought into the Auditor's office, which is a locked location, as you saw in this. The blue box is what holds those ballots, and that is a seal is put on it, which has a number," said Michelle Skaff, Woodbury County Auditor.
