Cincinnati Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki is slated to miss the team’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a pectoral injury that will keep him out long-term, according to Bengals head coach Zac Taylor.
Gesicki, who has become a big part of what the Bengals do offensively, will be replaced by a combination of Drew Sample, Tanner Hudson, and Noah Fant. While Gesicki is their top target at tight end, they have a deep room capable of replacing him.
So far this season, Gesicki has just eight receptions for 61 yards, and his production has been severely hampered by the loss of Joe Burrow, who will miss at least 12 weeks with a turf toe injury that required surgery.
