PANOLA COUNTY, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) — Downtown Carthage, Texas, is preparing to Fall into Christmas with events until the end of the year.
On October 25, Carthage will host the second annual Panola Push, Pedal, and Run. Participants can choose a mile run or walk, a 5K run or walk, a six-hour bike ride, a 30-mile bike ride, or a 100K ride/race.
There will also be an Oktoberfest celebration at Grind & Grain, and the Carthage Main Street Halloween Costume Contest at the Gazebo in Anderson Park.
On October 31 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Halloween on the Square will take over downtown for trick-or-treating and a spooky good time.
On November 8 at the Esquire from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., the Dusty Boots Band will perform a tribute to Rick Dison. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
