DALLAS — No, you're not crazy. We're only halfway into October so things could change for the better. For now though, we are continuing to experience an unusually warm and dry weather pattern.
The normal high temperature at the beginning of the month is 84 degrees. By Oct. 15, the average high is 79 and the last day of the month our average high drops to 72 degrees. We haven't seen those temperatures come to fruition just yet.
We've had seven days where we at least reached 90 degrees and the coolest overnight low we have had is 63. When you average our highs and lows together for the month so far, we come up with 78.9° which is 7.6° above normal. That's the fifth warmest October to date!
