LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- This week will bring the end of sunsets after 6 p.m. in Las Vegas.

This Saturday, Oct. 18, will mark he last Las Vegas sunset after 6 p.m. for the next five months, according to sunrise and sunset data from Time and Date. The sun will set at exactly 6 p.m. that night, but starting on Sunday, sunsets will move into the 5 p.m. hour.

The 5 p.m. sunsets will continue to get earlier and earlier until daylight saving time blasts the Las Vegas sunset back to 4:43 p.m.

It won't be until the middle of December when sunset times start moving in the other direction.

But the next 6 p.m. sunset won't be until the middle of March 2026.

Daylight saving time will end on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 2 a.m., shifting the sunset time back to 4:43 p.m. after clocks fall back an hour.
