A coastal flood statement was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 7:55 p.m. valid from 8 p.m. until Tuesday 5 p.m. in effect until Tuesday at 5 p.m. for Nassau County.

The weather service states to be ready for, "Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. High surf and minor beach erosion on the ocean shoreline."

The weather service comments, "Do not drive through flooded roadways."
