The Summit County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man last week for hitting two cars in the parking lot of a Kamas business while allegedly driving under the influence.
The man, who was described in a shift report as “heavily intoxicated,” attempted to enter a nearby liquor store after hitting the two parked cars, but the staff refused to serve him. He then left the parking lot and drove to his home in Kamas.
Deputies arrived at the man’s residence, but they were unable to perform field sobriety tests because he was, allegedly, too intoxicated. Deputies took the man into custody and booked him into the Summit County Jail for suspected DUI and other alcohol-related offenses.
