The Park City Police Department received at least two recent reports of deer carcasses that were seen at high-traffic locations, circumstances that oftentimes point to collisions between drivers and wildlife.
There are regular collisions involving wildlife, especially deer, in various places in Park City. The recent reports to the police included: • On Oct. 10 at 8:46 p.m., a deer carcass was reported in a turning lane at the intersection of S.R. 224 and Meadows Drive. The carcass was on the state highway, the police were told. The Police Department indicated the carcass created a traffic hazard. • On Oct. 11 at 2:29 p.m., a deer carcass was reported at a bus stop along Kearns Boulevard. The carcass was apparently in the area of the Park City School District complex.
