MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Mission Police Department held a ceremony on Monday to unveil 15 of its new police units.

The new units are fully equipped with the latest technology on the market that will help alert officers in case of a possible ambush and enhance safety.

Some of the equipment includes the following: • Parameter sensor (helps officers when typing a report on the side of the road) • Stalker radars (important to track speeders) • License plate readers • A load jack (helps track stolen vehicles in the city) • Six cameras • Aircraft number on the roof of the unit

"The importance of the units is because we want to have the latest technology so we can better serve our citizens. These units are here for our citizens, that we love the most and want to protect
