PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia 76ers announced the return of former mascot Hip-Hop as the team celebrates the 2001 Eastern Conference championship.

He will be part of a series of tributes to the team throughout the 2025-2026 season.

"Born in 1998, Hip-Hop captivated 76ers fans for over a decade with his flips, tricks, and style that made the 2001 run as unforgettable as the play on the floor," the Sixers said in a statement Monday night.

Fans of Franklin don't need to worry. The team said Hip-Hop will be joining the team's current mascot during the season of tributes.

"Hip-Hop will be back on center court with his signature swagger, charismatic and entertaining style that fans loved from that era," the team's statement continues.
