LANDOVER, Md. (DC News Now) -- As the Washington Commanders face off against the Chicago Bears on Monday night, one player is making an impact far beyond the field. Bears quarterback Caleb Williams returned to his hometown with a mission to inspire and uplift the next generation.
Before kickoff, 100 kids from across the DMV area got the chance to attend the Commanders versus Bears game. For some, it was their first NFL game, thanks to the Caleb Cares Foundation, an organization founded by Williams. The foundation focuses on youth empowerment, mental health awareness and anti-bullying initiatives.
“It’s a blessing and it’s a great opportunity,” one young fan said.
The group included kids from Ridge Parks and Recreation in D.C. and the Caleb Williams Elite Team based in Bowie, Maryland. F
