Victoria Police say the manhunt for alleged police killer, Dezi Freeman, continues despite the Mount Buffalo National Park in north-east Victoria partially reopening today.
The park has been closed since August 26 after two police officers were shot dead while on duty in nearby Porepunkah, triggering a major police operation in the region.
Popular tourist areas including the Eurobin Picnic Area, Lady Bath and Eurobin Falls, Lake Catani and the Mount Buffalo Chalet are among the areas that will reopen.
Some tracks and camping areas will remain closed, while the Lake Catani Campground will reopen on October 31.
Victoria Police will continue to patrol the Mount Buffalo area as the search for Mr Freeman continues, and signage will be in place at areas that remain restricted.
