GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 21-year-old Concord man was killed early Saturday after being struck by an impaired driver in Greensboro.
The crash happened Oct. 11 at about 2:17 a.m. near the intersection of South Edgeworth Street and West McGee Street.
Greensboro Police, Greensboro Fire, and Guilford County EMS responded to reports of a pedestrian struck with serious injuries.
Aaron Johnson, 27, of Durham, was driving north on South Edgeworth Street when he struck Immanuel Day Jr., who was crossing the street.
Johnson was arrested and charged with driving while impaired. The Greensboro Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident, which could result in additional charges, police said.
