MARSHALL, Texas - Some parents at Marshall Junior High School in Texas say they were not notified by the school about an recent security threat, learning instead through a social media post by the Marshall Police Department.

The MPD Facebook post, shared late last week, stated that a threat had been made and that a police investigation led to the arrest of a juvenile who was allegedly responsible. However, several parents commented on the post expressing frustration that the school had not informed them directly. Many said they only found out about the incident through their children.
