LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Police are responding to a barricade at a Las Vegas apartment complex after reports of the suspect threatening people with a knife.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said an armed male threatened people inside an apartment complex Monday before 9:30 p.m. at 370 E. Harmon, located between Koval Lane and Paradise Road. When officers arrived, police say they located him with a knife, but he retreated into an apartment.

Police say he is refusing to exit. Las Vegas Metro Police’s SWAT is on scene in an effort to safely take him into custody.
