New Delhi: The Andhra Pradesh government will enter into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Google in a gigantic $10-billion investment to develop a 1-gigawatt hyperscale data centre in Visakhapatnam. The ceremony will be held in New Delhi on Tuesday in front of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union I&B Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and other senior Google executives.

It will be used as one of the largest Google projects in Asia and is likely to become one of the most important ways to improve digital infrastructure and AI in India. The programme is designed to make Visakhapatnam a technology hub globally and enhance the reputation of Andhra Pradesh as a rising destination of massive data and AI investments.
