It has been eight days since the announcement of the Bihar assembly elections, but the seat-sharing between the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) has not yet been finalised. Sources say Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is reportedly unhappy with the allocation of nine seats, which is delaying the announcement of candidates.

The JD(U) has requested the BJP to reconsider the allocation of these seats. Reports suggest that a joint NDA press conference could be held this evening. Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandhan is also facing issues.

On Monday, Lalu Yadav had allocated symbols to RJD candidates, but amid reports of a rift within the alliance, several candidates had their symbols withdrawn late at night. This decision was reportedly made after objections from Tejashwi Yadav.
