Several towns and the city of Canandaigua have contested races for key offices this year.

CANANDAIGUA, NY — It’s nearing crunch time in a big local election season, with contested races in virtually every city and town in Ontario County.

Many voters, however, will want to head to the polls early to cast ballots in these races, perhaps in communities such as Bristol, Canandaigua, Naples, South Bristol and West Bloomfield, each of which has a contested race for supervisor. The mayoral race in the city of Canandaigua also is contested.
