Four months after more than 500 Fayetteville-area residents took to the streets to protest the Trump administration as part of the No Kings National Day of Defiance, another No Kings rally is set for downtown Fayetteville.
Like the last No Kings event, the Oct. 18 protest is part of a national movement, all bound by the slogan "No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings."
"Fayetteville has long been a hub for civic mobilization in North Carolina," according to an Oct. 11 news release from Fayetteville Resistance Coalition , the local event's organizer. "As part of No Kings Day, the city joins a chorus of voices across the nation insisting that no individual, no matter how powerful, should be above the law."
The FRC is a "non-partisan coalition of individuals and organizations united in oppositi
