Judge signals lawsuit blaming government for fires can proceed

Over five years after the Holiday Farm Fire , survivors and their insurers argued their case in court Oct. 8.

Survivors of the Holiday Farm Fire have accused three utilities with power lines in the area — Bonneville Power Administration, Eugene Water & Electric Board, and Lane Electric Co-Operative — of starting that fire, which burned through 173,393 acres and 723 structures.
