One hospitalized after stabbing in Omaha’s Benson area

One person is injured after a stabbing Monday night in North Omaha.

Police officers received a report of a disturbance around 66th and Emmet streets, in the Benson neighborhood, at about 11 p.m. Monday.

When officers got to the scene, they found a man with a stab wound. First Alert 6 is told by officials the man was taken to the hospital with life-saving measures underway.

OPD says several people are being questioned by detectives.

OFD HAZMAT crews respond to chemical leak in South Omaha building

Officials with the Omaha Fire Department say three people were decontaminated after a chemical leak in a building Monday morning.
