Police in Masambanjati, Thyolo have arrested two men suspected of stealing a motorbike belonging to a fellow villager.
Police spokesperson Amos Banda has identified the suspects as Joseph Nanjiri, 24, and Blessings Mithenga, 23.
According to Banda, the two allegedly stole the motorbike from Blessings James, 24, who had offered them a ride on his motorbike. The suspects reportedly vanished with the bike, along with a hand plough and cash amounting to K70,000.
Following investigations, officers traced and apprehended the two, who are now in custody awaiting trial.
Banda said Nanjiri comes from Thyolo, while Mithenga is from Mabuka Village in Mulanje.
