Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze has been on a tear during the 2025 NFL season.
The Chicago Bears were in a one-score game in a dogfight against the Washington Commanders, but it felt like things could’ve been different if not for one controversial play.
In the second half of the Monday Night Football matchup, the Bears’ offense was driving downfield with their eyes on scoring a touchdown.
Quarterback Caleb Williams lobbed a throw to Rome Odunze in the end zone for what appeared to be a touchdown, but it got wiped off the board due to an illegal formation penalty. The score would’ve increased the lead to 23-10.
Not many fans agreed with the call, and Troy Aikman, who was calling the game, was not a fan of the call at all.
