A recent survey of 2,000 drivers has shown that motorists are keenly awaiting a host of futuristic features, such as self-cleaning paintwork, solar panel roofs, levitating wheels, and noise-cancelling interiors.

The research also revealed other advanced features drivers would like their cars to have in the future, including windows that can be tinted on demand. One in ten also wish that seats could fold down perfectly flat, providing a sleeping area if necessary.

This vision of the ultimate “dream car” of the future, brought to life in a new image, comes after 37% expect ‘seemingly’ futuristic characteristics to be a reality within 10 years. A third even expect there will be flying cars in the future.
