SPRINGDALE, Md. — After a 6-0 start, Charles Herbert Flowers High School has removed its head football coach. Following a tip, a Prince George's County Public Schools investigation found that an ineligible freshman played in varsity football games.
Dameon Powell, the now former head coach of the Charles Herbert Flowers High School football team, was suspended for the remainder of the season shortly after the school district was tipped off on Oct. 8 about the ineligible freshman. In addition to his suspension, Powell had to forfeit all games in which the player participated.
