The slang terms, born from the internet and social media platforms like TikTok is shared in classrooms and living rooms across the country.

Gen Alpha has developed a lexicon partly coined from "brain rot," a term for the mindless, addictive digital content consumed on the internet, particularly from TikTok and Twitch.

While this might be a helpful guide for parents and those over the age of 14 who don't spend hours glued to their mobile devices, be aware that if you try to use some of these words too frequently, you might come off as "cringe," "uncool" or "Ohio" (see the definition below).
