Concerns mounted Tuesday regarding the welfare of a 54-year-old La Quinta man missing after being involved in a collision earlier this month.

Deputies responded to a report of a missing person at about 11:18 a.m. Oct. 8 in the 53000 block of Avenida Carranza in La Quinta, according to Lt. Deirdre Vickers of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

They learned that the missing person identified as Casey Jung Fagan was last seen Oct. 7. A preliminary investigation revealed Fagan was involved in a collision Oct. 8 in the area of Highway 74 and Vista Point, Vickers said. He was last seen walking on Highway 74 around mile marker 88.2.

Despite multiple search efforts including from the department’s aviation unit and K-9 teams, he had not been located as of Tuesday.
