Downton Abbey star Phyllis Logan has told of her delight at being part of a show that will be "there for posterity". ‌

The Paisley-born 69-year-old has played head housekeeper Mrs Hughes from the first series in 2010. ‌

The period drama became a phenomenon around the world over 52 episodes in six series on ITV and three films, the last of which, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, was shown in cinemas last month. ‌
