GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A semi-tractor trailer crossed the I-96 median and came to a rest on the opposite embankment after the driver lost consciousness, state police said.
No other vehicles were involved.
The crash happened around 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, on eastbound I-96 east of Monroe Avenue NW in Grand Rapids.
The truck driver, a 59-year-old St. Clair County man, suffered a medical problem and lost consciousness, state police said.
His rig crashed through median barriers and wound up on the westbound embankment.
