A Flat Rock man who deputies say has a criminal history and is prohibited from possessing firearms was caught Monday with guns.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, a deputy stopped a vehicle on Highway 117 in Flat Rock due to the driver, 36-year-old Patrick Blake Roberts, having an outstanding probation warrant.

During the arrest, the deputy located a firearm on Roberts' person and two more inside the vehicle. The sheriff's office says Roberts is prohibited from possessing firearms due to his previous criminal convictions.

Drug paraphernalia was also located in the vehicle.

Roberts was charged with certain persons forbidden from possessing firearms, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a probation warrant.

He is currently booked into the Jackson County Jail with no bond
