One person was taken to hospital Tuesday after a single-vehicle crash in Stoney Creek.
Hamilton police say the victim was the only person in the car when it struck a tree on King Street East, between Centennial Parkway South and Battlefield Drive, around 1:10 p.m.
The victim suffered a non-life-threatening head injury, according to Const. Trevor McKenna.
“Speed is believed to have been a factor, according to witnesses,” McKenna said. “However, it is still early in the investigation. Alcohol is not a factor.”
King between Centennial and Battlefield was closed for about three hours before reopening to traffic at about 4:30 p.m.
