A high school went into lockdown Tuesday afternoon as Vancouver police pursued and then arrested a man nearby with multiple active felony warrants across several states.
Police responded to a report of a wanted suspect driving near Northeast 88th Street and 55th Avenue and used a Grappler device to stop the vehicle, according to a news release from the Vancouver Police Department.
The suspect fled on foot but was located by a police K-9 team and patrol officers in a nearby wooded area where he was taken into custody without further incident.
Seton Catholic High School was placed on lockdown during the incident, which was lifted after the suspect was taken into custody.
Officers also conducted a search of the vehicle and located a firearm and controlled substances, police said. Tags
