NORTHEAST, Wis. (WBAY) - People across the country on Tuesday night participated in a National Day of Remembrance in honor of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed during a public event on a Utah college campus last month.
President Donald Trump took the time to reflect on Kirk’s life by awarding him the Medal of Freedom at the White House on Tuesday afternoon.
On October 14, which would have been Kirk’s 32nd birthday, hundreds of thousands of his supporters across the nation are taking time to reflect.
“He certainly had a positive impact on so many people, not just younger people, but of all ages,” Rep. Tony Wied said.
