The UK snow set to hit in October has been upgraded to a reported "five-day barrage". Recent reports in national media publications suggest the faces a "five-day snow barrage", with WX Charts maps and charts suggesting wintriness lies ahead.

Maps generated on WX Charts, using Met Desk data, show snow could hit from Saturday, October 25. It could then stretch into Sunday, October 26, as well as flurries on Monday, October 27.

Snow appears on weather maps in Scotland also on October 28 and 29 - as well as on Thursday, October 30 - as temperatures plunge to 0C again.
