The exact dates snow begins and ends in the UK in October - as part of a "five day" blast - have been revealed. Maps and charts on WX Charts, which are generated using Met Desk data, show what could lie ahead in the country.
The UK faces flurries of the white stuff in and around Otober 25, lasting until October 29, the medium-to-long-term projections show. While the snow will primarily hit Scotland, parts of northern England could be soaked in heavy rainfall.
Rain charts for the same day from WXCharts.com also show parts of the UK will be getting a soaking. As much as 1mm to 2mm an hour could hit as far south as Wales and the Midlands - triggering fears of flooding at times.
