MANDAN, ND (KXNET) — July 4th, 2026 will mark the 250th anniversary of the United States as we know it, and celebrations across the country will mark the milestone. This includes the parade in Mandan, which city leaders are calling the "most ambitious" in the city's history.
The Mandan Independence Day Celebration, along with annual events like the Rodeo Days, the 5k Road Race, and Art in the Park, will be back, and a brand-new Prairie Pyro-Musical fireworks show will take to the sky as well.
The celebration — the 146th in Mandan's history — will take place along Main St. the morning of July 4. The theme, "Celebrate 250," will use floats, costumes, and performances to showcase the country's history from 1776 to 2026.
“This parade is where Mandan’s spirit shines brightest,” Matt Schanand
